A while back, I wrote about how I had designed a tattoo for my friend. That tattoo design just got real! If you want to read how the process went, you can click HERE.
Yesterday I went to pick up my friend from her house and I may say, we were both quite anxious but at the same time very excited! The tattoo artist had made a few alterations which I at first had a bit trouble accepting. But then I thought to myself that the design is not mine any more and my friend can do with it however she pleases. It is after all her body where this will be imprinted on for the rest of her life! So that was a good lesson for myself. Letting it go and accepting.
As you know, I wrote a post about how my friend asked me to design a tattoo for her. At first I thought it was so scary knowing that something that I made will forever be imprinted onto her body! After lots of going back and forth making alterations to the design, it was done! It looks so awesome! I was so proud of what I had created because there were a bunch of “firsts” in my design. For example the wings. I had never made wings before so after I studied a few drawings of wings from Pinterest, I went ahead and wow! It was really fun! Making all those feathers and working with the shading (which I by the way still need to practise A LOT more!).
Heading to the tattoo artist
So as I stated before, I picked up my friend and we went to the tattoo artist. I had never ever seen anybody getting tattooed in real life before. YIKES! It looks like it hurts a lot! But the outcome is so awesome! The tattoo looks great in every single way. So much better than what I could have imagined. Hats off to the tattoo artist and a big thumbs up to my friend, who was going through so much pain but now has a awesome tattoo on her underarm!
Check out how great it got!
Thank you so much that you let me come with you to get a chance seeing how my design got tattooed on to your underarm. You have no idea how much this meant to me.
